About this coloring page
Five canal houses stand side by side, each carrying a different gable: step, neck, bell, spout and cornice. Drawn flat and front-on, the way an architectural elevation is, so the differences between them are easy to compare — this is the page to print if you have ever walked along a canal and wondered why no two facades match. Every window bar and hoisting beam is drawn. Vary the brick tone slightly from house to house and the whole row comes alive.
Printing tips
Set your printer to “fit to page” and turn off headers and footers. Ordinary 80 gsm paper is fine for pencils; use 120 gsm or heavier if you colour with markers so the ink does not bleed through.
