Privacy policy

Last updated: 2026-07-27

This is the privacy policy for Kleurkraam (kleurkraam.be). It is written to tell you plainly what does and does not happen with data on this site. It is a readable, honest overview — not legal advice about your particular situation.

Who is responsible?

Kleurkraam is run by a sole trader based in Belgium:

This person is the "data controller" under Art. 4(7) GDPR for all processing of personal data connected with this site.

What we don't collect

Kleurkraam has no user accounts, no login, no contact forms, no comments, no newsletter and no upload feature. You pick a coloring page, print or download it, and that's it. We never ask for your name, address, age or email to use the site, and nothing you do on the site is linked by us to a personal profile.

What happens automatically

The site runs on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare briefly processes technical connection data (such as your IP address) to deliver pages to you and to guard against abuse or attacks. We have no access to this ourselves and don't use it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in keeping the site reliable and secure.

We measure visitor numbers with Cloudflare Web Analytics. That service uses no cookies, no local storage and no fingerprinting — it counts page views anonymously and in aggregate, without being able to follow an individual visitor, including across sites. Because nothing is stored on or read from your device, no consent is required for this under EU/Belgian cookie law (Book XII of the Belgian Code of Economic Law, implementing the ePrivacy Directive); the legal basis is our legitimate interest in simple, anonymised statistics (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Advertising: Google AdSense

Kleurkraam is kept free through advertising served via Google AdSense (Google Ireland Limited). Until you give consent, we load no advertising script and set no advertising cookie — the banner at the bottom of the page explicitly asks for your consent before anything from Google is loaded. Choose "Decline" and the site works exactly the same, with no ads and without asking again on every visit from the same device.

Choose "Accept" and Google's advertising script loads, and Google may set cookies and similar technologies to show, measure and — if you allow it — personalise ads based on your browsing. Google acts as an independent data controller for that processing. The legal basis for placing these cookies is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, combined with the Belgian cookie-consent rule in Book XII of the Code of Economic Law). You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's site data, or via adssettings.google.com . For exactly which cookies Google sets and how long they last, see Google's own privacy policy .

Children and advertising

Some of our coloring pages are aimed at children (animals, Sinterklaas, fairy tales, vehicles, pets). On those pages, once advertising is switched on, we do not show personalised ads or behavioural tracking, in line with Google's policy on child-directed content. This applies regardless of who is actually looking at the page: since we cannot verify whether a visitor is a child or an adult, we treat these categories as potentially child-viewed out of caution. Our adult categories (mandalas, botanical studies, cityscapes, patterns) are not covered by this restriction.

Other parties that process data

Party Role
Cloudflare, Inc. hosting (Cloudflare Pages)
Google Ireland Limited Google AdSense (advertising)

Both companies may process data outside the European Economic Area (mainly in the United States). This relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, which are intended to guarantee an adequate level of protection. If in doubt, check these parties' current certification at dataprivacyframework.gov .

How long we keep data

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

Because we don't keep accounts or profiles ourselves, most of these rights mainly concern advertising data held by Google — exercise them directly with Google via myaccount.google.com . For anything relating to an email you sent us directly, write to FILL IN — e.g. hello@kleurkraam.be . We reply within the statutory one-month period (Art. 12(3) GDPR).

Filing a complaint

If we can't resolve things between us, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian supervisory authority:

Changes to this policy

We update this policy whenever the site, the advertising partner, or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows when that last happened.
