About this coloring page
A saguaro with a bird nesting in a hole partway up it — which really happens; woodpeckers hollow them out. The ribs run the whole height and give the page its rhythm. The ribs catch light down one side in real life, so shading one edge of each rib slightly darker turns a flat green column into something round.
Printing tips
Set your printer to “fit to page” and turn off headers and footers. Ordinary 80 gsm paper is fine for pencils; use 120 gsm or heavier if you colour with markers so the ink does not bleed through.
