About this coloring page

A cumulonimbus towers over a flat field, spread out at the top into the anvil shape that tells you a storm is fully grown. Rain falls in streaks below it and a fork of lightning runs down one side. Because the cloud is drawn as stacked billows rather than one blob, you can shade it from bright at the top to heavy grey underneath and get a real sense of weight. A good page for talking about why thunder follows lightning.

Printing tips

Set your printer to “fit to page” and turn off headers and footers. Ordinary 80 gsm paper is fine for pencils; use 120 gsm or heavier if you colour with markers so the ink does not bleed through.
